My Project

We could not be more excited that our last DonorChoose project got funded so we can continue with our Unified eSports team. My students deserve nothing but the best, but, oftentimes they do get left out in extra-curricular activities. Unified eSports helps students with intellectual disabilities and more become more included with their non-disabled peers. I have started up a Unified eSports League in our school district for the 2022-2023 school year.

This is a time for students with intellectual disabilities and more to get together after school with their peers who do not have intellectual disabilities.

They are coming together, finding common interests in video games, and making new friends. Most of these students have never had an opportunity to join in any extracurricular activity being held after school.

The spring season of Unified eSports are playing Super Smash Bros on the Nintendo Switch. We are needing funding to purchase two Super Smash Bros games so we can join in on the season.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
