Our sensory room will be a therapeutic space with a variety of equipment that provides students with personalized sensory input. This helps children calm and refocus themselves so that they can be better prepared for learning and interacting with others. The use of a sensory room will be beneficial by increasing brain function, developing and activating senses, providing a secure environment, and heightening awareness. A sensory room will enhance students' self-regulatory skills and will address the needs of students. It will not only be available to my special education students, but for all students at our school.
