Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are energetic learners. They are happy to be back in school and try their best every day to learn the material being taught. They are working hard and increasing their knowledge every day.

My students love to learn new things and collaborate with their classmates.

Teamwork is a huge part of our school day. My students are great at small group work and help each other whenever they can. They are working on college and career readiness skills every day.

My students are amazing young people. They are back in school after being at home for over a year. They got used to learning from the comfort of their own home and now they are forced to sit in hard school chairs. Please help me give them a softer, more comfortable option.

My Project

These materials will be used in the classroom to create a dramatic setting for the writing of each small group of students. They will choose their Lego build, create a unique fiction story that uses the Lego build as the setting, and then bring their writing to life using stop motion animation. Students will have freedom to choose all aspects of this project and will be able to share their creations with family and friends.

These materials will allow my students to work together to produce something they are excited about and proud of.

My students LOVE Legos and working collaboratively. This brings both of those things together in an educational setting while teaching them a variety of 21st century skills.
