I work with small groups of students ranging from kindergarten to second grade who need support out of the regular classroom. My students struggle with reading, math and writing. I use a lot of hands-on learning to reinforce concepts taught in the classroom that the students need to practice more. With small groups it is a wonderful opportunity to use games as a way to show how fun learning can be. My students love to have the one on one support to help them learn.
My Project
Students work hard for most of their day. Sometimes their brains just need a break to get refocused so they can continue with their work in the classroom. Puzzles are a great way for students to have a calming break while engaging their brains in something other than pencil and paper.
Students need support with coping skills and games are a great way for students to open up and share how they are feeling.
The skills they learn playing games, they can then practice in the classroom with their peers. Games are a great teaching tools to reinforce concepts we want students to have.
