My Project

My first graders graders are becoming amazing readers! They have worked so hard this year to learn decoding skills and so many of them are now off and running as readers!

Our classroom library needs more books at all levels so it can be accessible and fun for all the young readers in our class.

Right now, our library is somewhat limited with a lot of pre-readers and a lot for 2nd and 3rd grade level books, but not enough 1st-grade level books to go around.

I've put a special emphasis on ensuring that my emerging readers are served by this library by choosing many (but not all) books at levels C - I. I've also included some high-interest series books for our readers who are ready to zoom ahead into series!
