My Students

My 4th graders are awesome! They continue to be flexible with challenges and changes.

My 4th graders' last "normal" school year was first grade!

They demonstrate perseverance each day we can be in class with each other. I am lucky to be their teacher and I strive to make each day count while providing a safe, secure, and FUN place to learn.

My Project

The last full, "normal" year my 4th grade students had was in the 1st grade. Everything changed when they were in second grade and they've had to pivot a lot. One of the things I have noticed is my students need to MOVE!

During at-home/virtual learning my students could get up from the computer at anytime, sit on the couch, on the floor, etc.

Now, in a classroom setting it is hard for them to concentrate while sitting at a desk. Bouncy Bands are a GREAT way to provide movement and keep on task at their desk. Many of my students have asked for a desk bouncy band and I hope to fulfill this request via DonorsChoose! Thank you for this opportunity to help my student continue to learn and gets some wiggles out!
