My students need yoga balls for flexible seating. Our collaborative classroom has students with various needs, and many of them need movement breaks. Having yoga balls will help students get their wiggles out while still working!

My Students

I teach at a Title 1, low income, urban school. Our students have many diverse needs. All students at this school receive free lunch. My class is a collaborative classroom with general education and special education students together.

My students are patient, kind, and helpful.

They have a lot going on at home, so school is their safe place. Despite all that, they come to school ready to learn every day! They don't always have the supplies they need for school, so I am trying to help them be prepared for the year!

My Project

Flexible seating will make a huge difference in my students' learning. These students struggle to stay focused in traditional seating. My classroom, made up of general ed and special ed students, has diverse needs and movement breaks are needed. These yoga balls will help students bounce and wiggle while still participating in the lesson.

My students need a way to get their wiggles out, while still participating and focusing on their work.

These yoga balls will provide alternative seating for our students who need it the most. Alternative seating gives students the choice to sit where they will learn the best.
