Help me give my students Bouncy Bands for a learner-centered classroom that will maximize high standards of understanding, motivation, and achievement for all students.
"Let us think of education as the means of developing our greatest abilities, because in each of us there is a private hope and dream which, fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength for our nation."— John F. Kennedy
I am fortunate to teach fourth grade at a school located in the valley of the Wasatch Mountains, in beautiful Sandy, Utah.
Seventy-eight students visit my classroom each day for literacy, math, and science, all ranging different levels of ability.
Our district has provided our elementary school with reading, writing and math instructional programs that motivate and engage our students with text as well as online tools (i.e. interactive lessons, games and digital books) to help transform the total educational experience. I would like to provide my students an environment that inspires, motivates, and encourages them.
My Project
• Experts and Teachers know that getting students moving during the day sets them up for academic success. My students need Bouncy Bands! Unlike the traditional classroom which confines kids to traditional tables and chairs, I want to give my students different options to move while they work quietly. Bouncy Bands help high energy workers fidget without distracting others.
• Bouncy Bands benefits are abundant and can result in the mental and physical improvement of many students.
• Movement, comfort, and sensory input, which is a type of stimulation that can help children focus and process information are just a few of the many ways my students will be impacted. Bouncy Bands discreetly soothes student anxiety, frustration, and hyperactivity. Physical activity is linked to higher academic performance, better health, and improved behavior.
