My Project

In AP Language and Composition, students are expected to analyze complex nonfiction texts, evaluate arguments, and develop their own voices as critical thinkers and writers. In a high-needs classroom, access to engaging and rigorous texts is essential but often limited. This project will provide students with powerful works such as A Room of One’s Own, The Glass Castle, and Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass. These texts will allow students to practice rhetorical analysis, strengthen argumentative writing, and engage with diverse perspectives. By increasing access to high-quality nonfiction, students will build the literacy and analytical skills necessary for success in college and beyond.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
