Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my students’ curiosity, determination, and love of learning. These books will provide access to NC Battle of the Books titles while strengthening reading comprehension, critical thinking, teamwork, and confidence.

My goals are to increase student reading, build vocabulary, encourage meaningful book discussions, and help students develop stronger reading habits.

Access to these books will allow students to read independently, share ideas with peers, and prepare for the NC Battle of the Books competition.

This project will make a difference by removing financial barriers and ensuring every student has an equal opportunity to participate, grow as a reader, and discover the joy of reading.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
