My Project

With the addition of these engaging books and snacks to our classroom, my fifth grade students with special needs will be able to choose books with characters that highly interest them. These engaging books will encourage independent reading and increased student attention. Snacks will fill their bellies to fight the mid-afternoon fatigue!

My goal is to have a print rich classroom where ALL of my students LOVE to read!

My students are readers who enjoy reading books with characters that interest them. The foam puzzle flooring will be used in our Reading Corner, for students to sit on while reading books. Scissors, air freshener, wooden people for our toy house, and magnetic dinosaurs will be welcome additions to our classroom environment. I also want students to have full bellies so they are able to stay awake and engaged in their learning.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
