My Students

I teach the sweetest kindergartners! They are all anxious to learn and enjoy working on activities in class. They are very motivated and love to try new things. They are a joy to work with! They make me smile and laugh every day!

My class currently consists of 20 beautiful boys and girls!

My students range in ethnic backgrounds, and some are even English Language Learners. In addition, my students vary in their needs and abilities. We work hard in class to excel every day. Reading is essential in their learning because reading is the foundation of every subject I teach.

My Project

I work very closely with my students to improve their reading skills and to raise their reading score so they are on grade level. My students come from unfortunate situations where their parents do not provide books or access to a public library.

Every summer, my students slide backwards in reading because they don't have access to the library or even books of their own!

I would like to provide my students with a set of books to take home for the summer. To avoid that summer slide, it is important that children have their own books to practice reading each day.
