My Project

I included books that promote appreciating diversity and combatting racism. I believe this is important at every school, but having students of color obligates me to ensure they have access to knowledge to help them stand up for themselves and to foster an environment that appreciates inclusivity. Many of my students loved Crossover so I included the Crossover series. I included several books discussing immigration and racism. Every year we do a unit on entreprenuerism and focus on social issues so I included More Than Peach. We already read articles about the girl who started the company so I think it will go great to introduce the topic.
