My Students

I teach a 5th grade class at Kihei Elementary School. My students are friendly, engaged, and full of creativity. They work together as a team with learning and growth as a common goal.

Community is key in my classroom and my students need community now more than ever.

Cultivating a respectful, helpful, and inquisitive community is my goal as an educator. With your help, I am better equipped to reach that goal!

My Project

Teaching during a pandemic has been full of challenges. Students are struggling to succeed academically and socially. I am also noticing students struggle with 21st-century skills.

Your donation will help my students grow academically, socially, and professionally!

The class set books in my project were chosen to be exciting and engaging. We will use these books to develop reading skills and communication skills. The games will help my class develop socially. Nothing like some friendly competition to teach important life skills, like being a "good winner or loser" and not a "sore loser or bragger". The most exciting element of my project is the STEM Lego set. I love incorporating technology into the classroom and have plenty of experience with these kits. They are always a huge success!
