Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

One of my passions is reading, and sharing it with my students. To this end, I hope to have a well-maintained library with books in their native language as well as English, particularly on topics that interest them. Many of our library books are older titles, aged and coming apart. I am hoping to update our library with more recent book titles.

Many of my students are immigrants and have been out of school on their journey to the US, sometimes for months.

The kids work very hard to learn how to read because they cannot wait to read all the books in our classroom library. With your donation, we are on our way to updating our classroom library and giving kids a great positive association with reading. Thank you for giving back to our community.
