My Project

March is reading month! To celebrate I'm looking to add some student requested books, as well as replace books that have gone missing over the years.

These books will be available to students to read during their independent reading time in class.

Research has shown that students who have immediate access to engaging books have better comprehension, a more extensive vocabulary, and show higher achievement.

Each marking period, students write a summary and response to a book they chose to read. This gives my students some agency in their education, as well as the time to reflect on what genres/authors they do and don't like reading.
