My Students

My class. Wow. I feel fortunate to facilitate the learning of such great kids and feel passionately about providing them with the absolute best experience possible. My students are creative dynamos who are interested, passionate and ready to problem solve! These wonderful kids love coming to school and showing their wit in their writing, their ingenuity in tackling STEM projects and their mindfulness throughout the day. We are creators, readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, horticulturists, engineers and environmentalists - and above all - we are awesome!

My Project

These materials will make a difference by allowing my 2nd graders the opportunity to write and bind books. The book binding machine will bind their writing, or books, along with the clear report covers and the combs included in this project. This binding will add value to their writing and give students the opportunity to see and feel the difference between writing in process and the finished piece that has a permanent and professional look and feel. Students routinely write across content and they will be able to create awesome bound books that tie to science standards, narratives, book reports and biographies, social studies presentations and poetry. The small size of the combs will allow even small works to be presented in a big way! Help my students feel like authors with these great resources!
