My Students

Student learning is forever changing and now more than ever. Students now need access to digital resources to ensure they keep up with their peers. My goal is to keep teaching and learning as close to the norm as possible.

I consistently challenge and engage my students by posing a variety of activities to push them to heights they didn't know they could achieve.

Teaching is fun and exciting. I love sharing my excitement with my students and hope that by the end of the year, I have ignited a love for learning.

My Project

Our district has recently gone 1:1 with Chromebooks. These are not touchscreen devices, so my students like using whiteboards to show their work. As much as I love using whiteboards, I do not love the waste involved. As a class, we go through dry erase markers and erasers like crazy. Also, the whiteboards need to be replaced every two years.

I was introduced to the Boogie Board and my mind was blown.

They could work their problems with no waste and no mess. I thought that this could be a game-changer. Now I'm on a quest to provide a classroom set of Boogie Boards to my students so that they don't have to use the whiteboards any longer.
