Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school library is a place where all students in our school can come to find books that open their minds to worlds far beyond our small, rural town. The books in this project are all biographies written by Brad Meltzer. The books are part of a series of his books called “Ordinary People Change the World.” We have a few of these books in our library already, and our 2nd-5th grade students love to read these books and learn all about regular people that have done extraordinary things to make our world a better place.

I believe that by reading these books our students are inspired to let their hearts and minds drive their success for the future.

Having these books as part of my library program provides an avenue to allow our students to read and see how they too can achieve great things to make the world a better place for us all.
