We took our time developing our sun and moon design and exploring patterns and shapes. Everyone got to choose how they wanted to display the patterns on their design. The students painted the sun side first (warm colors) and allowed time for it to dry before completing their moon side (cool colors). This is a necessary step to ensure the colors don't bleed together on the paper. On completing their project, students admired their work and I could see how proud they were for crafting a multi-step project. We displayed these artworks in a Multicultural Celebration where students were able to share their work with their parents. Thank you so much for your part in encouraging these young learners to persevere, innovate a design, share their creativity, and most importantly be proud of themselves.","fullyFundedDate":1758255145338,"projectUrl":"project/mexican-folk-art-sun-and-moon-painting/9689793/","projectTitle":"Mexican Folk Art Sun and Moon Painting","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Davis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10023679_orig.jpg?crop=1155,1155,x0,y80&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757110739514","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10023679"},{"teacherId":1556131,"projectId":9402752,"letterContent":"We are deeply grateful for your donation of engaging and exciting books to our 4th-grade classroom.
