This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have been trying to give my students various different books to read! My class is diverse and I want the books in my classroom to reflect that. I want my students to see themselves but also other groups as well. I believe it's important for my students to read about stories that may not be similar to their backgrounds.

Black History Month and Women's History Month are coming and I want to make sure my library is filled with stories for them to enjoy but also learn from!

I want to give them opportunities to hear different stories.
