Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing young women and young men. They have done their best to follow social distancing guidelines for over a year. Our school is located in one of the areas of our city with the highest positivity rate. My students have endured so much during this pandemic. Finally, they are coming back to school.

Please help me to make learning fun and relevant for my students.

My Project

My students need notebook binders to keep themselves organized. In the science classroom, we use interactive notebooks to record their observations, activities, and labs. Students will write in their science notebook all their science observations and discoveries.

Science notebooks help students think like scientists by recording information and reflecting on their findings.

Students will use their notebooks to answer important questions and record key data.

Students will become better writers by using science notebooks. They will also learn and practice organizational skills by adding to their notebooks/binders handouts and printed information provided in class.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
