The tissue boxes were so helpful in providing students easy access to tissue while they were in class with minimal disruptions. Learners have been using their goggles daily to practice their freestyle swimming and buoyancy. As beginner swimmers, many students were hesitant to swim due to not being able to see when swimming. However, with the usage of their goggles, they no longer have that worry on their mind and they can focus on the task at hand. Many of them have already started going to the deep end of the pool and feel confident staying there. I have about 40% who are still in the learning process of starting to feel relaxed in the water but being able to put on goggles, even if it's on the shallow, brings confidence to their minds. We are currently starting backstroke learning skills and I can already see many of my students following a routine of putting on their goggles as soon as they enter the water. This routine enables them to stay on task in the water and learn new aquatic abilities that are important to know as a life skill. We will continue to learn other swimming strokes like breast and butterfly strokes, all the while using the materials that were donated to us, thank you for your support. \r\nThe timer is visually appealing to students because they understand how long is required of them to stay on task, as well as to see when they can start heading to the lockers to change. Since we have different schedules in our building it's difficult to keep track of when the class ends. With our digital clock mounted on the wall, we can keep track of time to stay on the school's schedule for that day. Having a timer and digital clock has allowed students to self-manage their time and stay on task during the learning and engaging part of the class. Once again, for that, I'm very thankful to our donors and I hope you know that we are using the items that were donated to the best of our abilities to guarantee that students reach their standard-based goals in class.
