I chose a classroom set of the Young Adult book titled "Red Glass" by Laura Resau. This book is about journeys people take in their lives. The book weaves a beautiful story of a family who rescues a boy who survived a border crossing from Mexico. This book is about kindness, compassion, and personal journeys. My hope is to bring this story alive into my classroom for my students. Many of my students have their own immigration story to tell. It is important for them to see themselves in books we read. After reading and engaging in a inquiry investigation, they will share their own stories through a creative project.

About my class
