Big Needs for New Counselor

Help me give my students some basic supplies as I start my career as a school counselor.

My Project

I picked out things that I can use to make my office a place where students feel safe and seen. As well as create collaborative relationships with students, fellow staff, admin, and parents.

My students come from diverse backgrounds and many face daily challenges that can impact their ability to focus, learn, and feel safe at school.

As a new school counselor, I am working to create a welcoming space where students can regulate emotions, build coping skills, and feel supported.

Many of my students struggle with anxiety, big emotions, peer conflicts, and stress related to academics and life outside of school. Currently, our counseling space is limited and lacks the calming tools and flexible seating needed to help students feel comfortable and ready to engage.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
