Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At a Title 1 school, many kids walk in the door carrying big feelings: stress, anxiety, worry, grief, or things they might not even have words for yet. As a school counselor, it is my honor to hold space for these feelings and to support students' social, emotional, and mental health so they can feel safe, confident, and ready to learn.

This wish list was created to help provide calming tools, play therapy toys, SEL books, coping skills activities, and other resources to help students regulate and build resilience.

These materials will be used in individual and small group counseling sessions, crisis support, classroom lessons, and in calming spaces to help students become the best version of themselves they can be.

All support, big or small, is accepted gratefully and will go directly towards creating a safe and welcoming environment for children who need it the most. With your help, more kids can feel seen, heard, and cared for. Thank you for being a part of a community dedicated to making a school where every child has the support they need!
