Help me give my students a flashback to their youth when playing in the sand and water was purely for fun...... and now we add some science! This stream table will be awesome!

My Students

My students have rough lives, but they are resilient and courageous! These young people have been through tough times, sometimes because of other people's choices and sometimes because of their own poor choices, but either way, these students are learning how to focus on what they can control and how to make better choices.

My students rely on my class for the support they don't receive at home.

For some, I am their only constant. They are good kids that need some extra love and support.

My Project

Students need to see Earth's power in action. Yes, we could go outside and watch a river for a month to see the effects of water, BUT how convenient is it to have a stream table right in the classroom, where students can manipulate variables and speed up natural processes.

Until I can afford a Magic School Bus for awesome field trips, this will have to do.

Students learn better when they're getting their hands dirty. Models are essential to science and to the teenage brain, and what kid doesn't like to get their hands in the sand and water?
