Help me give my students comfortable and cozy seating, rugs, and books so that they can enjoy reading independently around the room.

My Project

My students have been working hard to build independent reading stamina! (See the reading stamina chart in the classroom photo!) As kindergarteners, they work from reading for 0 minutes independently at the beginning of the year up to 15 minutes at the end of the year. That is no easy feat!

These materials, such as noise cancelling headphones, high-interest books, decodable readers, and flexible seating will help make their reading journeys cozy and joyful!

My hope is that my students carry a love of reading with them through their educational journeys and beyond.
