Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a low income area, I see my students are faced with challenges both inside and outside of the classroom. Despite their obstacles, they are eager to learn and are excited when new topics are presented to them.

My students are very "hands-on" and learn best when they can be part of their own learning.

They are loving and sweet and are motivated each school day. My students are able to grow when they are in a positive classroom with the right materials.

My Project

My students need See & Store Book Pouches to store their books for independent reading. They are currently using gallon-sized Ziploc baggies that rip easily and need to be replaced frequently.

My students need a place to store their books so that they can travel between home and school.

I want to promote independent reading and get my students excited about reading without having to worry about if their baggies will break.

A plastic book baggie will last the duration of an entire year and also allow for my students to be able to easily organize themselves in school and at home.
