My students come from a very low income area. The majority of my students have IEPs, receive RTI services and are ESL. Many of the students in my class come from non-English speaking homes and are learning English as they are learning the grade-level material. This is a huge obstacle for them to overcome and it is very difficult for them to learn especially with the lack of resources. The school itself has a supportive administration and they do their best to budget money in order to help the students. There are not many materials or resources available at the school due to the lack of money. Overall, my class has a great personality and are easily motivated. They are bright and with the proper resources, they will be able to come close to grade level.
