My Project

Battle of the Books is a statewide competition centered around reading and teamwork. These books are the chosen books for next school year and I am excited to get them in my classroom for students to start reading them!

Reading books in teams and competing against others teams in a battle of comprehension is so much fun!

Every year I have had more and more students participate and get excited about reading. The variety of genres of books helps students get out of their comfort zone reading books they might not have otherwise chosen.

Last year I had a team place fourth out of our entire School District. When we receive these books we can start reading to be ready for next year's battle. I love the team camaraderie that accompanies Battle of the Books too!

Mrs. Fipps will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by August 16.
