This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is a Title I school in Nevada. The school is able to offer 100% free breakfast and lunch to all of our students. As a teacher, I noticed that my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I am looking to keep things engaging and provide my students with multiple opportunities to participate in extra curricular activities.

I am hoping to encourage and motivate my students to stay physically active while promoting confidence.

My Project

This project is requesting basketballs for our elementary area basketball league. The league provides students with a safe place to practice their basketball skills while also creating meaningful relationships and learning life lessons.

The league consists of 4th and 5th grade boys and girls who are academically eligible.

This is a developmental league to introduce basketball to a population that typically doesn't play or have the resources to be on an organized team.

The league is free for all students due to teachers donating time and resources.

Thank you in advance for considering donating to this project, the students will be overjoyed to see some new equipment.
