Basic Supplies for Our Everyday Learning

My students need basic supplies such as dough, small pencils, and handwriting grips to get through each day in our classroom.

My Students

These students are eager to learn. They are inquisitive, creative and curious! I teach a culturally diverse group of kiddos that learn at different capacities. These students and their families show up to school every morning, waiting at the doors because they are so invested in their education. I want to create a place where my students with varying needs can succeed no matter what disadvantages they may face outside of school.

I strive to help these students achieve key foundational skills while fostering a love for life-long learning.

My Project

We are asking for basic supplies for our classroom. Our current dough crumbles so the students aren't able to correctly do any kind of letter formation. Golf pencils and handwriting grips help their small hands learn how to grasp a writing utensil. Markers are used for a number of things - writing sight words, one sentence strips, color coding items around the room and creating anchor charts for the students to reference in order to create independent learners.

These supplies are crucial to the students basic fundamental development.

Our school does an amazing job at providing most basic supplies, however the demand and specifics of supplies that are needed are often privately purchased.
