These new seating options have quickly become a favorite learning spot for my students and have added a sense of comfort and choice to our daily routines.\r\n\r\nThe bean bags have been especially helpful during our independent reading block. Recently, we launched a project called \"Book Buddies,\" where students pair up to read the same text and discuss characters, problems, and themes. During our first session with the new seating, two students settled into the bean bags together and immediately became immersed in their book. They read, whispered predictions to each other, and even used the soft seating to create a small \"reading nook\" where they felt focused and confident. It was such a simple moment, but it showed how flexible seating can support collaboration and encourage deeper engagement.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first walked in and saw the bean bags, the room filled with excitement—wide smiles, eager hands in the air, and lots of \"Is it our turn today?\" They were so grateful, and they quickly understood that these chairs were something special we would take care of as a class.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students a classroom environment where they feel comfortable, valued, and excited to learn. Your generosity has truly made a daily impact.","fullyFundedDate":1757683179122,"projectUrl":"project/mrs-kims-flexible-seating/9529871/","projectTitle":"Mrs. Kim’s Flexible Seating","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kim","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9881449_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1734913770326","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9881449"},{"teacherId":10078142,"projectId":9579003,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our classroom! Your support has truly made a difference, and I'm excited to share how we've been using the materials you helped provide.\r\n\r\nOne of the first projects we did was a \"Minecraft Selfie\" activity, where students created self-portraits inspired by the game they enjoy and are familiar with. Thanks to the inclusive skin color crayons you donated, each student was able to represent themselves authentically. It was a small moment with a big impact — students were smiling, comparing their portraits, and proudly pointing out how \"this really looks like me!\" \r\nThe laminating sheets helped enormously to create a welcoming environment for the classroom and have the class decor last longer.\r\n\r\nAnother way your donation helps us daily is with the disinfectant wipes. At the end of each school day, I use them to wipe down desks and shared materials, creating a cleaner, safer environment for everyone. It's become part of our routine and I thank you for that. \r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped bring comfort, creativity, and confidence into our classroom. Because of you, we were able to set up a \"calm corner\" in our room where students can go when they are having BIG emotions. \r\n\r\nThe class favorite by far has been the \"calm tent\". When the children first saw the tent, with its spot pillows inside and twinkle star lights on top, they immediately were drawn to it! They have learned that when they are feeling upset, tired, or overstimulated, the tent is there for them. Inside the tent is a basket of calming figit toys, lights, books, and pillows. ow, when they need a moment by themselves, they can have privacy from their peers. \r\n\r\nOnce again, we are so grateful for your generosity.
