Help me give my students the basic supplies they need along with polyhedral dice for our new Gaming Advisory.

My Students

My students are 9-12 graders our middle high school. They tend to come from families without significant material resources. I've only been here a month but already I've seen both deep pain and unimaginable beauty.

These students are creative, engaged, energetic, and sometimes challenging.

Showing them that the classroom they come to learn in is being taken care of will help them see that what we're doing here, the learning, growing, and creating is important. They deserve all this and more.

My Project

After our first DonorsChoose brought us the structural basics, we're looking for some more basic supplies: a pencil sharpener (so my students can stop going across the hall to another room to sharpen pencils), tape (because we need to stick stuff to stuff!), hand sanitizer so we stay healthy, and razor blades to scrape down the chalkboard that was glued over with shower-board. I've received a ton of donations from my community, including a bunch of lamps... so we're also asking for some bulbs.

Polyhedral dice is for us to use in our Gaming Club, which we're starting up on our Wednesday Advisory Sessions.

Our first DonorsChoose was a huge (and fast) success and laid a good foundation. We're looking to go a bit deeper here and provide more of the basics.
