Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This year, I am teaching kindergarten and I am fortunate to work at a school with such a diverse group of wonderful students. Every day they are eager to learn and they love to be at school. I enjoy teaching them and watching their minds grow as they explore, question, create, and learn.
I am super excited to see what this new school year will bring.
Many of my kindergartners are English Language Learners. The school that I work at is a Title I school in Las Vegas, NV, which means that many of my students come from low-income households. I want to provide as much as I can for my kindergarteners in the classroom so that they have the tools to be successful this school year.
My Project
My students need notebook paper, crayons, markers, and glue sticks to enhance their learning and to use during our instructional day during distance education. Supplies like these will last an entire school year and my kindergartens will have everything they need to complete classroom work and school projects from home.
With these supplies, the parents of my kindergarten students will not have to worry about not being able to purchase school supplies due to finances.
I will be able to provide each student their own sets of supplies to help with independent learning and instruction. Thank you for your support.
