This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My creative cosmetology class is an introductory course that helps students in this low income community explore the options of the largest industry in the world. Students train for their cosmetology license and learn the latest industry techniques that they apply in a way that gives them a new career choice right out of high school.

I love that my students are able to apply what they learn in my class to their everyday lives right now and can take it with them for the rest of their lives.

Students are excited to learn and practice their new skills on friends and family. Our hands-on projects and practical skills help them earn the experience and knowledge they need to open up doors that are normally closed to them.

My Project

My students need some basic materials to better prepare themselves for state board exams. Items such as gloves and Gel are used on a daily basis inside a cosmetology class to prepare students to be successful in passing a state board exam.

Basic tools and materials like the Eco style Gel are needed create their state board sets.

Without these items it is impossible to create the required sets for students to pass and gain licensure in the cosmetology industry. Your donations would aid in students success at achieving these career goals by experiencing the correct health and safety procedures through the use of these items.
