Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The relationships I get to build with my students are priceless. That is what I look forward to every day. Getting to know them and the individuals they are is one of the most important parts of my jobs as an educator. At the end of the day, they give me the drive I need in order to be the best teacher I can.
My students are the sole reason why I love teaching.
All the other components of teaching come second to me. I currently work in a high school setting and I teach Spanish to 9-12 graders. They are always motivated and eager to learn. I work with students from different ethnic backgrounds, social economic statuses, and learning needs. With the help of DonorsChoose.org, my hope is that I will potentially be able to reach every student in my classroom.
My Project
My students need printer paper, poster boards, post-its, white board makers and a few treats to get them through the year.
They need supplies in order to complete classroom tasks and complete projects.
I cant expect students to do a project for me if their family can not afford the basic supplies for them to do it.
They also need dry erase markers to work on their dry erase boards. While all of these items, are small, they will truly have a giant impact on my students' education.
My students are very artistic and love to display the projects they work so hard on.
