Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will provide basic classroom supplies for my students. The medicine ball is for physics demos for regular physics and AP Physics. This will be used for demonstrations that involve forces, torque, and angular momentum. For forces, students will push the ball around and describe how forces applied to the ball result in changes to the ball's motion. For torque, students will investigate how throwing the ball from a rotating platform produces a torque on the person throwing the ball. Additionally, in a similar set up, students will investigate how momentum is conserved when the ball is thrown from the rotating platform.

The projector screen will be used to set up some awesome outdoor videos!

We have a short throw laser projector. However, we don't have a stand for it. This project will provide the stand we need to set up movie nights. This will help to engage students in our after school Esports program.
