This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are constantly exploring, creating, learning, and moving. With so many hands-on activities, small scrapes, paper cuts, and blisters are a normal part of our day. What we don’t always have is a simple, comforting way to help students feel safe and ready to get back to learning.

Band-Aids may seem like a small item, but they make a big difference.

When a student gets a minor cut, having a Band-Aid available helps them feel cared for and supported. It prevents lost learning time, reduces anxiety, and allows students to return to class activities quickly and confidently.

Many of our students don’t have access to basic first-aid supplies at home, and our school’s supply is limited. By providing Band-Aids in our classroom, you’re helping create a safe, nurturing environment where students can focus on what matters most—learning, growing, and feeling secure.

Your support ensures that every student knows their well-being matters. Something as small as a Band-Aid can make a child feel seen, comforted, and ready to keep going.
