My Students

My classroom always includes a diverse set of students who learn to work together and be a family. Every year begins with the anticipation of meeting and getting to know each child. As we continue growing together, I have found some students have a hard time staying seated and on task. I am always looking for ways to strengthen learning and participation.

I strive to meet each learner where they are and work diligently to guide them to growth and success in 2nd grade.

My beautiful, inquisitive, and fascinating students are the reason I teach!

My Project

Sometimes it's just hard to sit still and concentrate! These Flex-Space Balance Ball Seats that I have selected will help my students by giving them an additional seating option to make more effective learning choices. We could use them for both literacy and math. Small group activities around a table might be a good fit for the balance balls. Students could also benefit by choosing to use a balance ball at their desks while working independently.

The balance ball seating will enable some movement while keeping students focused on their work.

These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out. These balls are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom.
