The books I have chosen for this project will be used in my classroom as we progress through the school year. They include selections from a variety of genres and will be used to teach multiple English Language Arts goals. We will share these books as a class to learn both academic and life lessons. Each book will have activities that teach and reinforce comprehension strategies and grammar skills. They will also provide opportunities for good discussions and written reflection for my students. Positive character development can also be emphasized through this selection of literature. Many of these books demonstrate compassion, fairness, respect, and perseverance.
