Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a vibrant group of curious, energetic, and resilient learners who thrive when they can move their hands, create physical projects, and dive deep into interactive lessons. However, many of our families face financial hurdles, and the basic "tools of the trade" aren't always available. To ensure that every child can participate fully—regardless of their circumstances—I want to transform our classroom into a fully-stocked workshop where the only limit is their imagination.

We are looking to stock our "Creation Station" and maintain a healthy environment with the ultimate classroom need - pencils: A sharp pencil is the primary tool for expression and we go through hundreds a year!

We are also in need of glue sticks and colored paper for hands-on activities that I create and for students to create poster about what they've learned. I would also like some organization materials, like folders, to keep our classroom running smooth and in order. Lastly, I would like some cleaning supplies because a healthy classroom is a productive one. By having our own cleaning supplies, we can quickly sanitize shared surfaces and hands after messy art projects or during flu season, keeping our students in their seats and ready to learn.
