My students are incredibly hardworking, caring and kind children. Each day I hope to inspire a love of learning in each of my students. I work hard to create a fun, interactive, safe and loving environment for my students. School is the safest and most loving place for many of the students in our school. Our school is in a high poverty area and a high majority of students receive free breakfast, lunch and school necessities such as backpacks, school supplies, sneakers, and many other items.
Each and every day my students show up with a smile on their face and they work hard to show their very best despite any difficulties they may face at home.
These students truly are the most fun-loving, hard-working groups of students. It is my hope to provide them with the best and most exciting learning environment possible.
My Project
I'd like to give my students essential supplies that they will use daily whether they are in the classroom or remotely learning. Unfortunately, we will not be receiving funding for basic school supplies this year. I chose items that are very useful to a 2nd grader such as crayons, pencils, glue and headphones.
My students often do not have basic supplies at home and very rarely come to school with their own supplies.
I usually buy sets of items for students to share. However, given the pandemic students won't be able to share supplies. My goal is to provide each student with these necessary supplies.
