This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students love coming together as a class to write stories and learn new math skills. They are eager to learn but do not always have the materials they need to be successful. Our school cannot afford to provide supplies to all students and teachers often have to provide basic materials such as notebooks and pencils for their classes.

Many of my students come to school without the basic supplies they need to be successful.

My students need basic supplies such as whiteboard markers, pencils, and erasers so everyone has the same materials. These supplies will guarantee that everyone has the materials they need for our daily math lessons.

They seem like such simple things, but these supplies will go a long way toward helping my class run smoothly. The markers will ensure that all students can participate in daily math lessons and have access to content. The pencils will ensure that students can focus on learning material rather than searching for supplies.
