My Project

In our special education classroom, every small tool makes a big difference. My students work incredibly hard each day to build communication, independence, academic skills, and confidence. Many of them thrive with structure, visual supports, and hands-on learning — but we are currently missing some of the most basic supplies that help make that possible.

We are in need of essential classroom materials such as Expo markers, erasers, laminating sheets, Ziplock bags, and sensory toys.

While these items may seem simple, they are the backbone of our daily instruction and behavior support.

Dry erase markers and erasers allow us to practice skills repeatedly without wasting paper especially important for students who need extra repetition to master concepts. Laminating sheets help us create durable visual schedules, communication boards, task cards, and choice boards that students rely on every day. Ziplock bags help organize individualized learning kits and sensory materials for each child.

Sensory toys are especially critical in our classroom. Many of my students have sensory processing needs and use fidgets and calming tools to stay regulated, focused, and ready to learn. When students are regulated, they can participate more fully, communicate more effectively, and feel successful.

These are not “extras” they are basic tools that allow our classroom to function smoothly and support each child’s unique learning needs.
