My Project

At our Title I school in the heart of Florida, our students struggle with attendance for several reasons. Whether their parent has car issues, they do not have clean uniforms, or they are not wanting to come to school because they are not properly motivated. It is crazy to watch the hours stack up as students miss educational opportunities dur to absenteeism.

I am working with our front office staff to boost our school's attendance by treating these kids like they are our own.

We want to have rewards available for students who are improving their attendance. I reward my son as frequently as I can when he has great days at school- as I know this will build his confidence and drive him to work harder. Since I would reward my son, I want to reward my student children in the same way.
