My Project

The NHS AV Crew has been recording the morning announcements and school events for nearly 5 years. Over that time, we have learned what works and what doesn’t.

One of the biggest challenges has been keeping the cords in the rack organized when recording in different areas of the building.

I have purchased 2 panels for D-type adapters for the AV rack and a mobile flight case. With these adapters and cables, we can make the setup and tear down of equipment easier and more efficient. This will be most helpful when the student crew will be under time restraints to pack and be on a school bus at events outside of the building.

Another issue that we have is using a small, 5 inch screen for the announcements presenter to see themselves on the green screen. While this screen works, it is very difficult for the presenter to see themselves and the ongoing slides from 10-15 feet away. Having a larger screen mounted to the tripod will make this process easier.
