My Students

Students at OWL are very creative an open minded. They are always looking to create projects and model their world. They are a diverse population that come mostly from Saint Paul MN.

OWL is committed to the EL Education model of project based and expeditionary learning.

In general these expeditions require materials and outside support. The students are able to learn about a topic in a very hands on way.

As a math teacher, I am always trying to think of new and interesting ways to get my students engaged to think like a problem solver.

My Project

Our school creates incredible productions. We have a stellar choir, a robust theater program, and regular monthly all-school meetings that allow each student a chance to be recognized. We are dreaming of getting the right audio equipment to make our auditorium sound support the quality of performances on stage.

We are asking for new audio cables to make our sound crystal clear, and cable covers to protect the cords that run the light and sound board.

Having the right cords and covers helps keep the music on stage from popping, or voices from cutting out. This equipment will also help us train the next generation of sound technicians.
