My Students

I have the amazing opportunity to teach at the high school that I graduated from. The teachers at my high school influenced my life in ways I cannot even describe and they have inspired me to want to influence my own students in the same positive way. I have awesome kids who come from a variety of backgrounds and abilities. I love seeing that moment when my students "get it"! When that difficult topic I've been trying to teach finally clicks. Being a teacher is the best job in the world! I know that if I could find a way to purchase these Atomic model building kits the kids would gain a much better understanding of the complex chemical compounds we are teaching about and the processes of photosynthesis and cellular respiration.

My Project

My biology students are required to learn about complex organic molecules (biomolecules) that can be extremely difficult to visualize. These molecules make up their bodies and determine how it functions and what it looks like. I am seeking these Organic Chemistry Molecular Model kits to better aid my students in understanding the structure of the 4 primary biomolecules, which is crucial to how they function within the body.

These modeling kits will help me to engage my students on a deeper level, and allow them to learn about a complex process that can't be seen with the naked eye.

I want them to see the bonds that are made between atoms and to gain a deeper understanding for how their body really works!
